Description

  • An ivory figure of Saint Joseph
from an Adoration group, kneeling with his hat held by a rope on the back of his shoulders, right hand extended, formerly holding a crook

Condition

There are fissures to the ivory consistent with age. The left hand is carved separately and possibly replaced. There are tiny chips to the rim of the hat. There is surface dirt in the crevices of the drapery and there is a pierced hole and some wax residue to the top of the head. Otherwise the overall condition is good.
