- each: 33 by 27.5 cm.
Condition
Both panels are cradled and bevelled on all sides. The former seems to consists of two planks joined vertically, of which the join has been retouched. The latter seems to consist of one plank but has a small vertical split down the centre. Overall the painitngs seem to be in good condtition and are under very dirty and discoloured varnish layers.A bit of thinness can be seen in the darker colours, e.g. the cows.A few discoloured retouchings can be observed in the skies. Inspection under ultra violet light is mostly impeded by the varnish layer, but does reveal the retouchings along the split and the join. Offered in giltwood frames, a few chips. (ML)
