Condition
The actual painting is a bit darker in tone than the illustration in the catalogue suggests. The canvas has been relined (glue). Along the lower and left edge white specs can be seen (probably mould). Discoloured retouchings can be seen along the lower edge as well as along the left edge. The paint surface is under a dirty varnish layer. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals retouchings as mentioned above. Offered in a gilt wood frame which has a few chips. (ML).
