  • A portrait of an elegant young lady, depicted half length, wearing a black silk dress with lace collar and a fur lined cloak. Together with a portrait of a gentleman wearing a black dinner jacket and a bow tie. (a pair)

  • 61 by 49 cm. and 41 by 32 cm.

Condition

Female portrait: Original canvas. Minor craquelure visible in the face. Very minor re-touch to the fur near the left edge of the canvas. Scattered re-touches throughout the background. Two minor dents: one near the lower right and one in the left background. This work would benefit from cleaning. Male portrait: Original canvas. Craquelure visible throughout. There is a small tear of approximately 1.5 cm. in the upper left near the head. There is a small tear centrally near the lower edge. A tear has been restored and retouched centrally in the dinner jacket. Uneven varnish. This work would benefit from cleaning.
