plain straight single edged fullered blade of English 1796 Infantry officer's pattern, brass hilt with copper twist wire grip, hilt and copper mount to brass scabbard stamped L R 2.1, white and yellow cotton sword knot with silver and yellow tassel

Condition

Blade very good, some surface scratches and markings. Hilt worn with virtually no original gilding, the grip wire intact. Metalwork on scabbard dented and misshapen, leather work cracked and scuffed.
