baluster form, embossed with scrolls and flowers, later engraved on one side with the Royal crest and on the other with the initial E under a Royal Duke's coronet, marked on body, the base engraved E(rnsti)A(ugusti) F(ideikommisSum)

Condition

Repaired below finial, front of cover and upper handle terminal; finial possibly a replacement; ding left of crest

The initial is that of Ernest Augustus Prince of Great Britain and Ireland, Duke of Cumberland K.G., later King of Hanover (1771-1851)
