  • height 253cm with Atlas, without Atlas 236cm
25.5-cm arched brass dial, engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, foliate pierced hands and subsidiary seconds, apertures for date, day and 'fan'-daysign, penny moon in the arch, brass season spandrels, weight driven anchor movement with rack striking Dutch half hour striking on two alternating bells, possibly associated burr walnut veneered case with bell top surmounted by a giltwood atlas and two angels, shaped moulded cornice with a carved scroll ornament and foliate pierced frets below, brass capped three quarter columns flanking the break arch glazed door, canted corners to the trunk, long shaped door with marquetry inlay and a brass urn lenticle, bombĂ© base with a marquetry bird and string inlay, moulded plinth raised on claw feet

Condition

Dial a little dirty, signature plate probably of later date, numeral III with a small dent, movement able to function but might benefit from a clean, crutch broken and with the clock, one hammer needs to be adjusted, case in reasonable condition, a little dirty, a few pieces of the chequered inlay of the base lacking, ornament on top of the hood broken but the loose piece with the clock, door of the hood adjusted to fit the movement, top of the hood probably replaced, replaced lock and statuettes, movement/dial associated to the case, together with two weights, pendulum, winder, doorkey and 3 statuettes
