Description

  • 43cm high
painted with peony issuing from rocky outcrops within arched alternating panels including pagodas within foliate bands, the domed cover with pointed knob

Sale, Hanover, Sotheby's, 12 October 2005, lot 3005.

Condition

Chip (ca. 2cm. wide) and small crack to rim of the cover, knob of cover broken off and repaired, the vase with a few glaze flaws to the base, overall rubbing to the gilding
