Description

  • height 40cm., width 49cm., depth 30cm.
with overhanging protruding cornice above two doors applied with architectural panels incorporating painted coat-of-arms and a craftsman, all revealing to a fitted interior with central door with inscription carpe diem flanked by drawers inlaid with scrolls, the doors painted on the inside with men in armour carrying the Nuremberg flag, the armour partly copied after the wings of  the Paumgartner Altar by Albrecht Dürer, affected by woodworm

Left side and top affected by woodworm, but still solid. Central inner door with hairline crack. Overall attractive lot.
