Description

  • crossed swords in underglaze blue, traces of p in gilt, impressed 20
  • height 16cm.
painted with a hunting vignette supported by an elaborate scrollwork cartouche in puce, iron-red and yellow, depicting hunters on horseback and attending huntsmen with hounds pursuing deer within floral sprays and sprigs, the handle with a scroll work border in iron-red and puce, terminating in a leaf shaped motif; the associated cover of later date

small repaired chip (ca. 1.5 by 1cm.), three flat chips to foot rim; the associated cover possibly 20th century
