- height of larger 7.7cm, 3in
both in profile to sinister, one carved with Sir Walter Scott after Chantrey, the other an officer in dress uniform, mounted on black glass in original turned oval wood frames

Catalogue Note
Sir Francis Legatt Chantrey (1781-1841) produced two busts of Scott; that which served as the model for the present lot is in the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh.
