Description

  • 21.5cm., 8½in.
the globular form engraved on the front with the crest of the head of a greyhound erased within a beaded oval and between a pair of tied leaf fronds surmounted by a winged torch, repeated to the rear, flanked by two pairs of opposing winged sphinxes alternating with formal ornament, scroll and fruiting vine, above a greek-key fretwork band, the neck with vertical leaf bands, applied ropetwist handle, the terminal engraved with fruiting vine
