prokosch's own copy with his bookplate signed by him, this copy number "iota (printers copy on ingres)", with an original drawing by prokosch (coloured in green, red, black and gold), signed in red by him on the colophon, original green, yellow, black and gold marbled paper wrappers, gold label printed in black, preserved in folding marbled case and blue cloth slicpase with gold spine, some wear to slipcase

Catalogue Note

Also loosely inserted are (i) a printed and autograph note recording that this is a Trial Copy on Arches" and (ii) a "Bibliographical Note" by Prokosch giving the true date and place of printing: "Printed in Paris at the Imprimierie du Trocadero in November 1969". In the three numbered copies of this edition Prokosch had previously given the false place and date as "Ghent, Belgium. March 1936".
