There are a number of signed copies of this work in institutions, including a presentation copy from Yeats to Prokosch. This copy includes a spare label. The poem first appeared in The Spectator, December 7, 1934 (Wade, p. 389) and was included in The King of the Great Clock Tower, published on December 14, 1934 (Wade 179).
