Frederick Robert Higgins was a young poet who met Yeats in 1924 and became something of an acolyte. He worked closely with Cuala Press, publishing one book of his poems with Cuala (Arable Holdings, 1933) and was much involved in the 1935 and 1937 Broadsides (Yeats had to remove him from producing the latter  due to long delays that Yeats believed were caused by heavy drinking). Higgins was an early member of the Irish Academy of Letters and later on the Board of the Cuala Press.
