Catalogue Note

Two "New Series" of Broadsides were issued, monthly, by the Cuala Press in 1935 and 1937. An original advertisement from the Cuala Press stated that "three hundred copies of each number will be printed... One hundred copies will be reserved for sale on completion of the set of twelve in specially bound volumes". These volumes included an additional essay signed by the editors.

Verses include work by W.B. Yeats, Hilaire Belloc, Edith Sitwell, James Stephens, Walter de la Mare, Frank O'Connor and Padraic Colum. Hancoloured illustrations include work by Jack B. Yeats, Victor Brown, Harry Kernoff and Sean O'Sullivan.
