Description

  • A Lucanian Red-figured Bell Krater, attributed to the Cyclops Painter
  • Height 12 5/8 in. 32 cm.
painted with a woman facing left with her right hand raised and flanked by two athletes, one holding a strigil, the other a loose fillet, the woman wearing a chiton, himation, and wreath or diadem, the reverse painted with three draped youths, encircling laurel crown below the rim, meander below the scenes.
