Description
- An Attic Red-figured Nolan Amphora, attributed to the Alkimachos Painter
- Height 12 5/8 in. 32 cm.
decorated on one side with a figure of Dionysos holding a kantharos, thyrsos, and ivy branch, and wearing a chiton and himation, his hair bound in a broad fillet, and on the other side with a bearded satyr wearing an enveloping himation and wreath in added red, meander below the scenes.
