folio (300 x 210mm.), title-page printed in red and black, engraved medallion portrait of the dedicatee Carlos III, 18 engraved plates (most folding), woodcut initials, head- and tail-pieces, contemporary Spanish red morocco gilt, dentelle border composed of urns, leafy fronds and small floral tools, arms of Carlos III, King of Spain (1716-1788), reigned from 1759-1788, spine gilt in compartments gilt edges, a few leaves lightly spotted, 3 plates detached, slight worming in lower margins of last few leaves, small paper flaw in upper margin of title-page, spine damaged at head, sides rubbed, endpapers renewed
