Catalogue Note

six of eight rare editions of certain books of the Old Testament edited by the reformer Johann Drach, whose death in 1566 appears to have curtailed his original plan for a polyglot edition of the complete Bible. Of the present six editions, that of Genesis is incomplete, as are the two other editions not here present: the Psalter (Wittemberg: Krafft, 1563) and Isaiah (Leipzig: Rhambau, 1563).
