This tract was an appeal for Protestant unity in the wake of a Lutheran attack upon Calvin. De Bèze had close relations with the Estiennes in Geneva, being involved in the production of many works from their presses; de Bèze was also witness to Robert Estienne's will and was godfather to his first grandchild.
