Chancery folio (304 x 210mm.), 232 leaves, double column, 54 lines plus headline, Gothic letter, 3- to 7-line initial spaces, woodcut printer's device beneath colophon, contemporary German binding of calf over wooden boards, covers with blind fillets in a diaper pattern with a small diamond-shaped flower or round fleur-de-lys stamp in each compartment, roll-tooled border with blind fillets, German fifteenth-century manuscript bifolium in Latin on vellum used as lower boardliner, extensive early annotations, occasional slight staining, rebacked retaining parts of original spine, new endpapers, lacking both clasps
