Royal folio (390 x 281mm.), 417 leaves (of 420, without 2 blank leaves at end of first part and one at end of second part, tabula bound first), double column, 44 lines, Gothic letter, 3- to 6-line initials supplied in red or blue, 9-line initial H on [a]1 in gold on a blue and burgundy ground with decoration down the inner margin, 18-line initial I on [a]2 in blue and white, 7- to 11-line initials in red and blue with red penwork decoration, [aa]1 with leafy decoration in three margins on both sides of the leaf, red paragraph-marks, modern half pigskin over wooden boards, early annotations in a fine calligraphic hand (including textual corrections), manuscript signatures, [aa]1 supplied from another copy and remargined, marginal tear in [cc]10 (not affecting text), binding slightly rubbed
