Palais Royal. Attentat à la pudeur" loosely inserted, spine very slightly rubbed

first edition of this study of religious mania, presentation copy, inscribed by daudet to his wife, "A ma Julia chérie, cette oeuvre qui est notre oeuvre, Alphonse Daudet". Gayler-Hirou bound many of Daudet's works for Julia Daudet in the same style; their library was sold in Paris in 1941.
