Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is warmer in the original. There are less yellow undertones to the areas surrounding the central element of the composition. The overall tonality tends more towards a charcoal grey. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Executed on beige wove card. There are artist's pin holes at all four corners visible in the catalogue illustration. There is very faint staining and light wear to all four corner tips and a 5mm lighter border along all four edges where the sheet has been concealed beneath a previous mount. There are several media accretions, particularly to the centre of the upper half of the sheet visible in the catalogue illustration. There are light smudges throughout, notably to the right of the central element, but these are intrinsic to the artist's working process. There are very light creases around all four corners.
