Condition
Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the originals. The red tends more towards cherry red and the figure's dress tends more towards lime green in the original.
Condition:
(i) This work is in very good condition. Executed on cream wove paper with slightly deckled edges and securely hinged to the backing board at the two top corners. There are artists' pin holes in all four corners. There are very faint rub marks towards the bottom left and right corners and upper right corner.
(ii) This work is in very good condition. Executed on cream wove paper with slightly deckled edges and hinged to the backing board at top left and bottom right corners. There are artists' pin holes in all four corners. There is a minute rub mark towards the lower right corner tip and a further two rub marks towards the centre of the lower edge. There is a very light crease in the centre of the extreme right edge.
