Condition
Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original. The illustration also fails to convey the rich texture in the original.
Condition: This work is in good condtion. Executed on white wove paper fixed to the mount along all four edges. There are artist's pin holes at all four corners. The left upper and right hand edges are slightly deckled. The sheet undulates slightly. There are several small spots of paint loss to the areas of heavy impasto, probably intrinsic to the production process. There is some very faint craquelure to the gesso at the centre of the left hand edge and towards the lower left hand corner. There is some light creasing along the top extreme edge.
