Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is richer in the original. Condition: (i) This work is in good condition. The canvas is made up of two parts with a small indendation at the top centre of the composition indicating this. There is minor wear to all four corner tips. There is a small rub mark towards the centre left of the lower left quadrant. There is superficial surface dirt throughout the composition. There are light stretcher marks in places along the bottom edge. There are a few rub marks towards the top right hand corner with tiny spots of associate paint loss. There are a few faint handling marks towards the centre right of the top edge. (ii) This work is in good condition. There is very minor wear to all four corner tips. There are faint handling marks towards the centre right and bottom edges. There are several rub marks in places along the left, right and bottom edges, notably towards the centre of the left and right edges. There is a further rub mark towards the top left hand corner. There is a tiny media accretion at the centre of the left extreme edge.
