Condition
Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is warmer and the background tends more towards grey in the original.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is a very small handling mark to the centre left of the upper right quadrant on the extreme edge. There are two further very small handling marks towards the bottom left corner. There are a few very faint rub marks towards the bottom edge at the bottom of the tulips. There are drying marks throughout, notably in the lower left quadrant with minor paint cracking in the top left of the lower right quadrant, probably inherent to the artist's working process. No restoration is apparent under ultraviolet light.
