Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is more vibrant in the original. Condition: This works is in fair condition. There is a fine layer of dirt adhering to the surface throughout. There is a very large area of discolouration across the centre right of the sheet, visible in the catalogue illustration. The majority of the newspaper sheet is also stained, intrinsic to the artist's working process. There is lifting to the majority of the pieces of masking tape. There are staple holes in the top and bottom left corners and at the centre top and bottom edges. There is a further staple hole towards the centre of the lower right hand quadrant. These holes are probably inherent to the artist's working process. There is a large rub mark towards the bottom right hand corner, partly visible in the catalogue illustration. There are further small rub marks and spots of discolouration scattered throughout the composition. There are several nicks to the extreme bottom edge and a small tear in the top right hand corner, probably inherent to the artist's working process.
