Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is much brighter and more vibrant in the original, with the paper tending more towards cream in all three parts. Condition: All three works are in very good condition. Each is securely hinged to the backing board in several places on the reverse. There is slight undulation to each sheet and slight discolouration in places. All have slightly uneven edges. (i) There is a tiny nick to the paper along the bottom extreme edge towards the bottom left corner and a further nick in the centre of the extreme right edge. There are several handling marks in places along the bottom and lower right edges, probably inherent to the artist's working process. (ii) There is minor wear to all four corner tips. There are a few faint handling marks in places along the bottom and lower right edge, probably inherent to the artist's working process. There are a few very faint rub marks in the black area of paint in the top left hand quadrant. (iii) There is very minor wear to the bottom left corner tip. There is a tiny nick to the top right corner tip. There are a few tiny scattered media accretions, notably towards the top centre of the composition.
