Condition
Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original, with the green tending more towards a rich sea green and the red more towards a deep cherry red.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. Executed on uneven white wove paper and securely hinged to the backing board in several places on the reverse. There is minor wear to all four extreme corner tips. There is a tiny water mark towards the lower right extreme edge and two further water marks along the bottom edge of the upper right quadrant. There are several very faint rub marks towards the lower right of the upper right quadrant and two further horizontal rub marks towards the centre of the extreme left edge, visible only upon close inspection. There are scattered rub marks and imperfections throughout the sheet, probably inherent to the artist's working process.
