Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant, with the background tending more towards ivory. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Held under glass, there is a light layer of dust beneath the glass. There is very slight discolouration along the top and left extreme edges. There is a minute scratch approximately 7cm. up from the lower left of the corner tip on the extreme edge. There are three further minute hairline scratches; one in the lower left of the upper right quadrant; one in the right of the lower left quadrant and one approximately 12cm. from the bottom centre of the lower right quadrant. All visible only under very close inspection. There are two patches of discolouration in the top right corner and centre left edge and left centre, visible upon close inspection. There are very faint rub marks in the bottom right corner and a further two very faint rub marks to the top right of the lower left quadrant. There are a few tiny media accretions scattered in the sky and a further minute pin prick-sized indentattion in the centre of the upper left quadrant and several tiny white media accretions scattered towards the right edge, approximately 9cm. above the figure.
