Condition
Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is richer and deeper, with the ochre horizontal band running across the figure being less pronounced in the original.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. Executed on cream wove paper, this work is securely attached in places to the backing board. There are some tiny scattered artist's pinholes and small paper losses along the edges of the composition, notably to the upper corners. There are 2 small indentations to the centre of the upper left quadrant. There is a 10cm tear to the paper to the lower section of the left edge; a further small 3cm tear directly above this and another one beneath the centre of the top edge, all of which are unobtrusive and original to the work's execution.
