Colours:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original, with the main trapeze tending more towards dark brown and the orange towards red-orange.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is a fine layer of dust adhering to the lower edge of the frame. There is a finger mark 10cm down from the upper right corner, on the white pigment between the two black diagonals adjacent to the right edge. There are three small specks of media accretion in the red paint towards the lower right corner, and a small section of paper adhering to the top edge of the yellow frame 5cm along from the upper left corner. There is no evidence of any retouching when examined under ultraviolet light.
