Condition
Colours: The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is warmer and richer, with the faded purple tending more towards violet, the blue towards royal blue and with much more depth to the grey-black paint.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is an extremely light rub mark to the top left , bottom left and bottom right hand outer corner edges. There is a fine hairline crack running in some places along all four turnover edges. No restoration is apparent under ultraviolet light.
