Condition
Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is darker brown in the original work.
Condition: This work is in good condition. There are several surface rub marks scattered throughout the composition. It is oxidised heavily as is inherent to the artist's choice of medium and there is a layer of rust and superficial dust throughout. There are some water marks / small patches of discolouration to the centre of the upper horizontal section (at the front the catalogue illustration) and also in places at the rear. There are several small cracks to the upper horizontal shelf (at the rear of the work and not visible in the catalogue illustration) which appear to be original to the execution of the work.
