Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original wirk, with the outer green crescents tending more to a lime green. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is minor wear in several places to the top edge as well to the top two corners of the canvas. There is a faint handling mark to the centre of the extreme right edge, between the pink and the pastel blue crescent, and there is a soft horizontal rub mark of approximately 8 cm adjacent to this across the lime green and the pastel blue crescent. There are three minute media accretions: two to the top half of the extreme left blue crescent and one towards the top of the inner edge of the lavender segment in upper right quadrant of the composition. There is a minor discolouration to the paint to the bottom left of the artist's signature. There is no retouching apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
