Condition
Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is brighter in the original.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. The canvas is slightly slack overall. There is minor wear scattered at intervals along of all four extreme edges and corners of the canvas, most notably at the centre of the left and right turnover edges. There is a minute speck of media accretion to the centre of the upper right quadrant; a very light 10 cm vertical line to the right of the figure's nose; and another parallel to the left of the mouth. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
