Condition
Colours: The colours in the catalogue are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is much deeper and richer in the original with the orange tending more to intense red.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. The canvas is slightly slack and a few very fine impasto peaks are missing in places. In some areas of blue pigment there is minor paint shrinkage, notably a stripe at the right edge of the upper left quadrant.There is no retouching apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
