There is a rub mark to the centre of the extreme top edge of the upper right quadrant. There is a small area of craquelure to the left section of the lower left quadrant and several smaller patches of cracquelure scattered throughout the composition to some of the areas of black pigment only visible upon close inspection. There is an extremely fine horizontal hairline crack towards the centre of the extreme top edge. There is no retouching apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
