Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is much richer and brighter in the original work where there is more warmth to the figure's skin and the background tends more towards rich cherry red. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is a tiny loss to the gesso at the extreme bottom edge, approximately 3cm in from the lower right corner. There is some paint shrinkage in places towards the upper right and lower left corner. There is no evidence of any retouching when examined under ultraviolet light.
