Condition

This sculpture is in very good condition overall. The pigment appears free of scratches or losses. There are a few scattered pale traces of handling and rubs toward the outer edges of the following areas, generally appearing on both sides: the blue pigment of the ``nose'', the middle blue wave of hair, the upper wave of the blue hair and the two blue bottom points of the hair. There are a few similar linear rubs on the right upper corner of the red ``lips''. On the crest of the blue ``bangs'' there are faint whitish vertical linear marks near where the blue meets the aluminum/red dot ``face'' and a small whitish dot toward the outer edge of the front crest of ``bangs'', 4 inches down from the top. In the upper area of the white pigment to the left of the blue nose, there are very faint traces of fingerprints. The conical base shown in the catalogue illustration allows the sculpture to rotate. However, it is not original to the work and is not attached to the sculpture.
