Condition

This work is in fair condition. The canvas is relined with BIVA, a hermoplastic adhesive with a wax component. There are few areas of scattered, unobtrusive drying cracks throughout. Under UV light, scattered areas of retouching along the extreme edges fluoresce and relate to the areas of wear and crackign exhibited along the pull margins. There is an area of cracquelure running down ¾ the height of the canvas through the center, approximately 19-22 in. from the left edge, this area fluoresces under UV light. Scattered spots of restoration located in the lower right quadrant and the bottom left corner fluoresce under UV light. There are about 4 larger areas of inpainting that fluoresce located near the center of the left edge. Unframed.
