This work is in very good and sound condition overall. The work is comprised of two marble elements attached by the artist at the figure's waist. The white marble base and lower half of the figure are sculpted from one piece of marble. There is evidence of faint surface scratches at the grey backside of the figure. In addition there is evidence of paint extending from the backside, down her legs, which appears inherent to the artist's working method. The work has recently benefited from cleaning by Wilson Conservation LLC; and as such has a very fine appearance overall; however, there are small spot areas of faint yellow discoloration at the lower area of the figure's feet, that are visible under raking light conditions. Please note that this work is signed and dated 83 on the reverse of the base, and the correct medium is oil on marble.
