Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although overall the tonality is much brighter and more vibrant in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. The two sheets are securely hinded to the backing board in several places along all four edges. There is undulation to the paper throughout which is inherent to the artist's choice of medium. There are scattered light creases and handling marks in places around the outer edges of the composition which appear original to the work's execution. The join between the two sheets running vertically down the centre has slightly raised edges in places. Very close inspection reveals a few stable fine cracks to the impasto section of red paint in the upper right hand quadrant.
