The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate.
Condition:
The work is in very good condition. There are scattered light rub marks at intervals to the extreme edges, including to the lower edge, to the lower right corner, the lower part of the right extreme edge and to the left side of the upper edge. There is a small rub mark to the top centre right of the upper right quadrant and to the lower centre of the upper edge. Light handling marks are visible around the edges, notably to the top part of the left extreme edge.
There is a tiny paint loss to the lower left corner and a few tiny and unobtrusive pinprick-sized media accretions scattered to the lower left and right quadrants and in a few isolated spots elsewhere. There are a few extremely fine and stable hairline cracks to the upper extreme overturn edge. The vertical drips of a surface varnish are visible throughout the composition, original to the work's execution. No restoration is apparent under ultraviolet light.
