Condition

Colours: The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is slightly deeper and richer with the green and yellow hues more pronounced in the original. Condition (recto): This work is in good condition. The work is very slightly twisted within the frame and there is a very slight surface undulation to the centre of the upper horizontal section. There are scattered rub marks and surface protrusions, particularly to the lower right quadrant, which are inherent to the artist's working practice. There is a short, unobtrusive diagonal crack to the exterior of the resin in the upper right corner. There are two fine, unobtrusive diagonal cracks which appear to be beneath the resin to the lower left corner and to the upper right corner, both visible verso. Some light superficial dust is adhering to the surface in places. Condition (verso): Also in good condition. An undulation to the centre of the upper part of the work, and slight twisting within the frame, as mentioned before. There is a rub mark above the lower right corner on the right extreme edge and another to the lower right corner. There is an extremely fine and unobtrusive horizontal rub mark running along the lower extreme edge from the lower right corner to the centre point. The surface inconsistencies, rub marks and media protrusions are original to the work's execution. Some light superficial dust adhering to the surface in places throughout.
