Condition

Colours: The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the paper tone tends more towards a pale cream in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to capture the three dimensionality of the collage elements and their differing textures. Condition: The work is in very good condition. There is some undulation, scattered creasing, time-staining, watermarks to the left extreme edge, and light wrinkling to the left, right and upper edges to the sheet, all original to the work's execution. The magazine collage is wrinkled and creased throughout, there are tears to the black paper cut-out and superficial surface dust to the collage elements, also all original to the work's execution. The cork circles attaching the square of magazine collage in the lower left quadrant to the sheet are lifting in places. There are a number of scattered pinprick-sized fly spots adhering to the surface. There is a pinhead-sized media spot to the left of the centre of the lower extreme edge. There is a small rub mark with associated surface dirt to the centre of the plain wood frame inside the red frame.
