Condition
Colours:
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is slightly lighter and the colours are more vibrant in the original.
Condition:
The work is in very good condition. There is some light creasing to the left hand sheet of hotel stationery collage, original to the work's execution. There are scattered spots of paper skinning and rubbing which have lifted the pigment surface off the poster to the left, right and centre of the lower extreme edge, to the top of the left extreme edge and to the top right corner. There are a few further small spots of skinning to the paper surface above the car on the far left of the composition. Some very pale yellow small media staining is visible on close inspection to the left edge of the left hand sheet of hotel stationery and the lower right corner tip is lifting. There is a very fine short vertical rub mark visible in raking light to the upper centre of the composition and a further short horizontal rub mark with associated skinning to the upper section of the right extreme edge.
